DAMN RIGHT! I think that format is awesome.
I agree with Herb... You will find out who can really drive with a class like this. Sounds like a ton of fun! Don't need a 2-step anyways. I like hearing my pops tell me about the old Modified guys from the 70's. No high side chip, no 2-step. Leaving on the wood! HELL YEA!

here in ohio stick shift drag racing has been doing well for awhile thanks to the umtr (united manual transmission racers) the web site is www.umtrdragrace.com they have a chat forum and the first race of the season is this weekend in columbus at national trails. the rules on this new stick shift class look good except they are kinda limiting themselves with the 6.50 index. there's a whole bunch of fast stick shift race cars out there,why not try to attract all of them instead of just a specific group.

Fans dont want to watch bracket racing. They want to see a heads up style of racing.
