Carl, It pains me to have to agree with 'ol 1320, LOL, but Bob's food is second to none in D1 !
A lot of his food comes in fresh from NYC. The Italian Ices are some of the best I've ever had ! You Guys should come next week when MASGA is there . .....You have'nt lived untill you've been abused by Bobby DiMino on the PA !

Always was the best in 2011 at Numidia...
I was in my 1st ever final with my Dad's car racing Mr. Goldman. Earl Nichols calls up to the tower and tells Bob we have a first in MASGA history. An all Jewish Final between Keister and Goldman. Well as you can tell Bob took that and ran with it, as we were putting on our helmets I hear this music playing on the PA system....I couldn't quite make it out but, after a few seconds I could hear Bob was playing Hava Nagila over the PA. The next day after Goldman beat me the Knishes were 10% off in honor of Goldman's win. Carl if you don't come up to Numidia next weekend try to make it up for the 90 race in September. The food is great, not sure if it's as good as home but, I think everyone is keen on their own "home food" but, it's pretty darn good! |

Numidia is a great place. For me the drive is rough even though I only live about 30 miles away. I go the back way through coal country and those hills are brutal on the brakes. From what I remember, the menu was a mile long at the food stand. Also super long shut down area.
Back to the topic of this thread.... Any news on fuel sales at Island? I only have 1 can of gas which won't be enough. I hope to go this weekend even if the facilities are not usable. |

Last Saturday night, Bobby finds out that the Super Pro finalists agreed to a purse split. He got on the mic and made chicken bawk-bawk sounds as loud as he could, saying they were too chicken to race. I was doubled over in my trailer from laughing so hard. It was one of many classic Bobby-on-the-mic moments.

Being at Numidia a few times this year, I have to agree with the majority here. When you combine the purse, food and overall vibe of racing at Numidia it is very hard to beat. I had a blast there this weekend again. Big Bobby even let's me announce at times which is alot of fun. I drive there from Queens twice a month to race there. My favorite part is when he throws that surprise at you before round 1 "Racers it was supposed to be $1500 to win today but since we have a good turnout I am going to make it $2000"!
Numidia is good times and worth checking out if you haven't already. I have also raced at Island a few times growing up and it's cool to see them back in business.

Carl, not sure if you follow Drag Race Results but, direct from Bob:
"Maybe you can get Juliano out for Sept. I want him to try our specials, he will think he is still in Queens." Glad to see Island open or whatever the truth is to everything on here. Last thing we want to become is like out West. I went to Firebird or Wild Horse or whatever the new name is back in 2009 and this is when they had Firebird and Tuscon back to back and even though it was an 1 1/2 drive that was the closest for them as the other tracks were 6, 7 or 12 hours away. So to have another track open and in business rather it has flaws just be glad that it's open and their not tearing it down to build townhouses that will go unsold. |

Wow.......look at the s**t storm I started huh?.....lol, I never said anything bad about the food.........I just think the comparisons were just a bit exaggerated that's all, and that brings out my sarcastic sense of humor.
John and I don't have the time off that we usually had, so we have to pick and choose our dates. If we can, we will drag the Stude out in Sept and have some fun with you guys. Everyone we know spoke very highly of the race.
