Here is our old set-up for my Dad's '53 Studebaker race car we used for the last 20 years that I inherited to tow my future race car with. '73 Dodge Sportsman motorhome with homemade open trailer what a sweet set-up... :~).

Best thing about Tommy Ivo is those were his design and built by him(I'm sure others helped) I remember the photos from Hot Rod when they had him as the front page Hook. This is what would be my ultimate race car hauler.

I snuck a look at RJ at the toters, haulers and motorhomes...........where in the H*LL do you guys get that kind of money! 300k for a hauler? I could race the rest of my life for that kind of dough.
Don't get me wrong, I would love to rigs like those but 300k will get you a nice truck and trailer and you could stay in the best hotel in town....maybe even the Bridal suite! It all looked so fancy that I went outside and set fire to my lowly dually and 28 ft. trailer......now I won't be so embarrassed.....lol! JimR

I bought that van 14 years ago for $250. I put a crate motor in it with full length headers, bagged the rear suspension, rebuilt the steering and put a $300 paint job on it. I've used it to tow an open trailer for the last 10 years and I think I have about $2500 wrapped up in the whole thing over that 10 years.
