Back to live reporting, sorry Chuck.
DRC has the results for 4th round class, so you don't need the numbers. C/SA was a big upset, Gary had the car to win but Edmond had the light. In F/SA Findell was the car to beat, Iacono stumble off the line, I think it was iced to much. Not sure Iacono had anything for Findell. The B/SA final should be fun. Hawk ran his car out when Randy red lighted. Not sure if that was all Hawk had, you know how the game is played at Indy. Jimmy Defrank had the by and shut it down before the 1000ft mark. Jimmy and Bill are definitely playing head games with each other. I don't know who has the faster car, but it will be a great final. |

It's Hawk and DeFrank in the final of B/SA. One of the best races I ever saw 2 years ago.

Rumor has it for teardown tomorrow it is all the winners and runners-up from AA/SA thru G/SA. Also Brian Wolfe and someone protested Monohan and he has to tear down also.
I was talking with Mark Lelchook a while ago and the West Coast Rulebook came up. He said that if his engine had been built by the west coast rules, he could have outrun Irvin Johns. LOL Well they are about to run the finals in A/SA and B/SA, then we are going to the Ford dinner tonight. More later. |

Well folks, the B/SA final was just as cool as the A/S final. Bill Hawk and Jimmy DeFrank put on a great show with Hawk getting the win. 10.24 for Hawk to a 10.28 for DeFrank. Both drivers had similar lights, but Hawk was able to out run DeFrank. Two years ago DeFrank took the win over Hawk. It looks as if we have an east coast west coast rivalry in the making.
Hawk has an invite to the barn in the morning. |
