I think it was 1". I was thinking of using 9x30's but I would have to cut the front edge to get the tires to fit. I can't measure it right now because I have the old rear end out and the new one ready to replace it. I'm adding Cal-Trac's and mono leafs and I'm hoping there is a way to set the axle in the car where I want it. (may move it back a little for more clearance.) With the hammer I was able to gain about 1/2" or more additional room on both the front and back without going into a lot of bodywork (I wouldn't try it on a painted car)

Cool,. thanks. I have 1.5" between my 28's and the front edge of the fender so I'm pretty sure a 29 will fit with no issues. Just uncertain how much they will grow at 130mph.
