Default Re: Speedworld Problems

I drive by Speedworld frequently going to and from our home. They pack the place on Friday nights for grudge races. I have seen the staging lanes so full that they"looped" them around to keep everyone moving. It appears to me that the big events are the Jr. Dragsters and street racers. I would like to race more, but ...... everyone knows what it cost to race a car these days, it is way to expensive to race the Dart there except the National Opens. I could run the stocker, but it still costs about $100 just to go test and tune. Not counting any parts failures.......Now, if I had a street 5.0 Mustang that I could go round after round without worry of breaking anything, I would be there every week end. Maybe that is what I need...

Signed on Mark.
Hope they keep your track going. We lost ours in like 2002 WestHampton. Then LI got street racing frenzy all over. They loved breaking our chops racing in industrial and other closed roads. We were pretty organized, but a track really is the place to race. We now go to Jersey, Upstate NY and Maryland.
Good luck guys.
