Jim Weakland Div 5 raced his 1968 Camaro in Super Stock for around 30 years until he sold it to someone overseas I believe in late 2008 or early 2009. He was still setting records with it up until he sold it.

I'm not sure if this counts or not because his dad originally bought and raced the car but... how about
Dan Fletchers 'Checkmate' 69 Camaro. Bought new in 69. Thats a tick over 40 yrs...all as a race car. Thought it was worth a mention. |

Hi Chris and Joe. I would imagine Steve Hinten and a couple others have me beat. I took delivery of the 66 Corvair in November 65 and ran it in Stock, at the local track, a couple of weeks later.

I did post that John and he has to be right at the top of the list. He has kids to raise unfortunately or he would be out there right now, he has had it tough since his wife passed and now loaded with grand kids. I really feel for the guy, grand kids are nice but they need to go home so you can find your brains once in awhile.
