Re: 1968 Dodge Darts (Factory SS/EA 440's)
We have still been working on the dart alot lately. We actually got the passenger side quarter panel and wheel well all welded up and body work started, now we are working on the drivers side. Im hoping to be welding the quarter panel on by the end of the week. I attached some pictures of our progress.
Also we ran across something the other day and realized you can buy the door panels for inside the car but no one makes the GTS emblem and they are extremely hard to find! So if anyone has any or knows of any that someone would sell, we would greatly appreciate any leads |

I can provide the door panel emblems, we had started reproducing them years ago but not enough interest so we dropped the project. I still have a couple of the original run laying around. BTW, did you get the SO numbers off the core support and the passenger trunk lip? They might provide some information as to what the car was originally. I can bring the emblems to Carlisle, or if you need them sooner let me know. I have a 68 GSS that I will be starting to restore this year too! Jim |

Re: 1968 Dodge Darts (Factory SS/EA 440's)
Jim,
Yes we would definitely like a set of the door panel emblems. If you could bring them to Carlisle that would be great. I usually go to the Hemi race but my dad will be at Carlisle every day. The number on the drivers side trunk rail is P8L 167708 Dad said that would be the sequence number in 68 not the vin. But since we do not have the fender tag or original vin, it was hard to prove that this is one of the 6 but everyone knows this was the chrysler power that was originally the Charlie Allen Dart. But any help with a paper trail would be appreciated. Thanks |

Hi,I'm new to the forum....I have owned a 69 m code dart for several years that was sold at northland dodge then allegedly altered at the Rod Shop. Not as rare as the 68's...they are awesome cars!

Re: 1968 Dodge Darts (Factory SS/EA 440's)
Heres an update on the Charlie Allen 440 Dart. We finally are finished with all the metal, body and paint work, we finally have it back to its original paint scheme. We are leaving the clear cure and then we will be putting on the gold leaf lettering. I couldnt get the pictures uploaded on here so if you follow the link to the business facebook page you can see a few photos of the car.
