Thanks again to all.I'm getting conflicting altitudes so I'm going with Google.Now I hope this info and the new weather unit helps with dialing in next year.

Question Re: Track Altitudes

I dont know how accurate Google World is but I found some interesting results by checking the shown elevations of the starting line and finish line at the tracks I checked.

Atco s/l 93' f/l 84'
Cecil s/l 309' f/l 291' (I always MPH well there)
Numidia s/l 865' f/l 880'

Just a few examples.

Wow. If those numbers reflect a trend, that could explain a lot about a lot of different tracks. Wish I had time to put this info together for all the tracks. Would be interesting to see.

Mike;
It doesn't take long.Load Google World and on the main screen type in the track address.Track webites
give their address.When you get an overhead shot scroll in to the s/l and read the elevation(unfortunatly it's in meters) do the same at the f/l and you'll see the difference.

Ed

Google World is great.I looked up where I was stationed in the Army in Korea in1964.I think I pinpointed
the location.The world is at your command,at least in pictures.
