Talking Re: Delay Boxes

Certainly is amusing to see you fellas morph a question about delay boxes in SS to a rant about the .90 classes. There is a place for all of us, and most of us like our choice of racing. You class guys build great cars that are fun to watch. And RULES are everything to your type of racing. Our rules are simple. Hit the PRO tree, run the number. If we want more rules, we'll go class racing!! So we can build a killer combo........and shoe polish a number on the window!!!

I most humbly request that you all not concern yourselves with our rules, and we'll do likewise!!

Do the .90 classes have qualified fields?

No, all run 1st round. We do get a qualifying order after 1st round on NHRA and 2nd in IHRA but it does not count for much except a bye if odd number of cars.

I told you my honest opinion as a track owner. Grass roots racing is coming back and people like it. Fans want to see side by side and if you dont know a track cant make it on racers alone. You must have spectators and they dont watch the .90 classes like they will a slower side by side class.

I really agree with herb that fans could see the sportsman racing better if it was 1/8th mile where all the action is right in front of them.

Thumbs down Re: Delay Boxes

Herb,
Wouldnt it be easier to move a section or two of stands at the finish on both side's of the track then
try to change the history of 1320 foot racing not to mention the thousands of dollars it would cost
S/SS guys to change their cars to run as fast as possible to the 1/8?
