Let me tell you do you really think Burton Smith give a $hi) about you guys as sportsman racers. If he does this you are looking at 3 day races and sportsman will go by the wayside in a few years. Being a track operator I have spoken to someone very close to Speedway Motorsports INC. and their intention is not to "Preserve" sportsman racing. He has his TV connections and TV money will bring more money to racing that sportsman entries will.

Like my dad use to say "BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR"

Thumbs up Re: Anyone else hear this

I believe Herb to be correct. The best hope we have on the horizon is NASCAR buying IHRA! This appears to be true. Bill France Jr. has the bucks. Jim

I've also heard the rumors that someone in Forida has bought IHRA. Speculation includes Nascar and Amalie Oil. If it's Nascar and they bought all of the motorsports related segments from Live Nation, hopefully they will want to keep and develop all of them as opposed to keeping part and getting rid of the rest.

Nascar use to sanction drag racing events a long time ago!

Hey Jim...isn't Bruton & the France family still feuding? This whole thing makes sense.

I've only ever met/spoke to Mr. Hullinger once, and that was at Bowling Green. He listened intently and did his best to help me. He made a note to make sure I got my grading point registered first thing Monday morning after the race, and he did so, so that I could enter Indy.
