Default Re: Toyo Tires Nat'l Tickets

Thanks Bill;
I called the track this afternoon and was told my tickets "were likely mailed yesterday". They asked me if I received a confirmation card after I placed my order, which I did not. I figured I would wait until the end of next week and hopefully the tickets will be here. If not my next call will not be quite as polite ! I paid for these tickets back in early March and don't like the condescending tone they have given me a couple of times on the phone. My 16 year old son is really looking forward to seeing a full day of racing at the nat'l event level.

See ya' there !

I did receive a confirmation card shortly after I ordered my tickets; I don't know if it is significant that you didn't receive one. Are you and your son attending all 4 days of the event? I ordered a seat in Section N - Row H - Seat 1 for all 4 days. It is on the pit side and is General Admission on Thurs.&Fri. and Reserved on Sat.&Sun. I should be in that location because I had no problem getting it last year. It is at the 330' cone on the track. Hope to see you there.

We are leaving here very early Saturday morning and will be getting to the track about "noonish" Saturday and also for the full day Sunday. I ordered tickets in the Penske/GMC/Buick grandstand same one as you are in. I did not request any specific seats however.We chose general admission Saturday and Reserved for Sunday.

The Penske/GMC/Buick grandstand is on the Pit side of the track; and, to the best of my knowledge, and according to the seating chart, all of the Pit side seats are Reserved on Sat. & Sun. General Admission tickets on Saturday will put you on the opposite side of the track, commonly referred to as the spectator side. Your Reserved tickets for Sunday will be in the Penske/GMC/Buick grandstand. Go to the track website, maplegroveraceway.com, and look at the seating chart; the General Admission seats are opposite the Penske/GMC/Buick and the Toyo Tires grandstands.If you call the track again, you can clarify this matter.

I understand what you are saying. Last year we had general admission tickets for Saturday ($45) .After we roamed the pits we ended up sitting on Pit side because the grandstand was no where close to being full. We sat in our reserved seats Sunday and some a few runs but mostly got soaked from the rain , as you recall.

Our tickets arrived (finally) today. I feel like the old slogan that Joe Amato had for a season on his t-shirts, the "Life Is Good tour".
