If it really is only $1,300 - $1,500 to ship these cars overseas, that's a lot cheaper than I would have imagined. I paid $600 to have a '69 Camaro shipped from Missouri to New York (and that was easily $300 less than the next closest bid I received), so I would have expected a trans-Atlantic trip to cost at least $3K - $5K.

As for rollerblading backwards, I can only speak from my own experiences, and all I can say is that I'm a disaster waiting to happen skating backwards. I can only imagine how much I would hurt myself carrying a container of traction compound while trying to do it.

Pelle & Janne, thanks for your responses directly from the source! I sure am glad I'm not buying fuel in Europe. Anyway, post pictures of your cars here on the site so we can see who we're talking to!

Shipping from the west coast means slightly higher prices. Main problem is to get it safe to the nearest harbour cost effective and safe, considering insurance, etc.

Niklas Lidström and the other 8 Swedes in Detroit Red Wings will soon be over with kissing the Stanley Cup, and can maybe help you with some tricks regarding backwards skating.

Dont know yet if I succeeded to add the picture, but otherwise its in the Swedish links.
It's the white with green flames, former Keith Lynch Nova, and was shipped to Sweden 2005. Can always get back to him, and also Steve Koppien, for help and advice. Great guys with experience that I never ever will have the possibility to get.
As Jocke stated earlier, we do have a lot of hard core guys here, that build and tune their cars successfully, but we also have my type, that maybe don't have all that time to sort out a competitive stocker.

Dont forget to check out http://www.sssa.se regulary,
both on the home page and the forum, there will surley be new video clips and pictures all summer.

I'm a Sabres fan myself, so I'll ask Toni Lydman or Teppo Numminen...

Thanks again for the info, and good luck this season!
