Back when IHRA was viable and was running the Pro Am series I raced every race in the southeast division. I have a few runner up finishes and won an iron man. They were double race weekend and were run 1/8 mile. The purse and contingency was very similar to NHRA at the time. Car counts were never as good as the NHRA divisionals but were growing when they were bought out by the previous management company. After that I?d folded. Hopefully this new owner can make a go of it. I will support it if they have races close enough. I live in Tampa Fl. So the only one that is reasonable for me is Galot. That?s about a 650 mile tow. I might try to make that race in the fall. Time will tell. It?s in our best interest to support them.

You don't have to go on Wednesday if you don't want to. Just go fri-sun like you likely already do for NHRA national events. Don't sh!t-can the whole deal over a pro-am you can't go to. Support what you can.

I think it?s comical people bashing an organization trying to provide another place for our cars to race, like what did IHRA do to you? Hahaha!! If you don?t wanna go, don?t go, but what does bashing or talking trash about an organization that?s putting up more money for a race than NHRA do for you? You complain that NHRA ****s on us and we get treated poorly and the NHRA has lost touch with sportsman racers - enter IHRA with an option , yuck that?s a dumb idea , it will never work , those days arent convenient for my schedule 😂😂. Not sure who are bigger divas - NHRA sportsman racers or NASCAR/Formula 1 drivers hahaha

I believe I've come to the conclusion that people that aren't going to go support this series just aren't going to go. Those folks will come up with whatever excuse they need to justify abstaining from supporting another sanctioning body. No matter what the purse, schedule, racer benefits are and no matter how good your reasoning is to support it, it will never be enough. Their minds are made up. You can argue about it until you are blue in the face, they do not care and it does not matter. I'll do my best to be at the races I can get to from Western NC and I hope to see as many class racers there that can make it too.

I wish that they didn't have dates that clash with the Virginia and Georgia NHRA races.

I find it hard to take anyone seriously when all they do is complain about the previous option. They won?t let us run our cars all out. This is supposed to be a performance class. Air shifters don?t belong in stock. The new cars are not factored correctly. The quotas are too low. Takes too many grade points. Contingency and payouts are a joke.

You sound like you?re in an abusive relationship. ?It?s not their fault it?s mine.?

You deserve the misery you live in if don?t look at other options.

You're not very far in the NHRA points hunt as of today. There is a world champion in IHRA and you could do well there.. PLUS, there isn't ANY Junior Dragsters.

Racers that participate in the Fling series and other big bracket events are used to starting on Tuesday & Wednesday, Car counts exceed combined S & SS participation.

I'm not in the running at all yet. In fact, I am way behind my original plan. Having choices just adds to my " First World Problems"!!
