I installed the Hoosier FSS C30 compound slicks today for testing/racing this coming weekend. Hope to finally get some good data on the tires.

I weighed the tire & rim configuration between my M/T PBRs/double bead lock rims to the FSS tires/Weld no beadlock rims. There's a total difference of 24 lbs. weight savings.

Hopefully they work good enough to use for the Spring Fling Million in Apr. if I decide to enter.

If the Hoosier 18213 is 94" circ. and this tire is for factory stock, what rear gear do they run and how much horsepower are those cars

I don't know the power they make, but it's more than mine. This is just a small tire bracket car set-up to run mid 8s. I'm only legal to run 8.50 & the biggest problem is I'm not legal to run 150 mph +, yet.

Below is/was my gearing. I have no idea on the HP, it hasn't been on the dyno.

While the updates to the Camaro wasn't meant to make it quicker or faster; it did happen. I got out of the throttle around 4.5 sec. into the run & ran a 5.6x @ 123+ mph to the 1/8th. I changed the rear gear from a 3.89 ratio to a 3.55 to knock some rpm out of the finish line. I guess it liked the change. The converter flash stall raised from a little over 5,500 rpm to a little over 5,800. The shift drop went from 1,000 rpm to 600 rpm drop. Pretty much what Kevin @ Hughes Transmission predicted.

The only 9 inch PBR I have seen is only 28? tall and 88 rollout. What size were your PBR?s?

I ran some 13.5 x 31 PBRs for years for an everyday slick on my Cavalier LT1 stick car. When I took them off last fall at Vegas, they had 193 runs on them and looked great! The date code was from 2017 and I bought them in 2018. I gave them to a local bracket guy?

They were 9 lbs each heavier than a standard radial but you cannot wear them out!

Our primary tire is a 29.5 x 10.5 PBR, it has a 94" RO & the width is only 10". I get an easy 150 runs out of them & they're still working great when I change them out.

When I first started running radials many...many moons ago. I started with a Hoosier 30 x 9 C06 lightweight & got an easy 150 runs out of them. I've ran all the different model 9" Hoosiers. They're great tires, but the PBRs edge them out slightly for bracket racing.

We put 9 runs on the tires this past weekend. They worked pretty good & only had one pass I didn't like. It wasn't the tires fault; there was drippings on the inside left groove. I straddled them the best I could but don't know where the drippings were down track. My 60' was a little off & the tires were searching for traction down track.

Performance wise, the total rotation weight savings made little to no difference in ET & I wasn't looking for one.

I decided to enter the Spring Fling Million & parking is one week from today. I'm going to double enter in Pro & Super Pro for the (3) 30K races & single enter in the Wanna-Be Million.

Correction: I can only single enter in the 30K races. I can double in 2 different categories for the Wanna-Be Million.
