Some of the smog motors got drastically refactored Ford 460 factory 220 NHRA rated 300 and there are other like this. I think there was a smogger 454 that had a huge increase also.

Jim, one of the versions of the Ford 460 was factory rated at 198 HP, but NHRA quickly put it at 300 HP, when I believe, Glen Tinsley showed up at the Winternationals years ago, with a 85/86 Mustang with a 460 198HP, classed as GT/MA!
