It was not the owner posting, but someone who at least appeared to be posting on the track's behalf in the comments to Division 5's 2025 schedule announcement post.

At last years double at Flying H, they faced some first timer pains. Being a double was probably a lot tougher than having a single event, and the
torrential rainfall that swamped the 3rd level grass area pits was really unfortunate. Having said all that, their response to the pit problem, and other problems was first class. The race was completed, the racing was great, the staff that I encountered was First Class, and I was looking forward to returning this year. While it is always easy to be a critic, and we have some experts in that field here, I toast the efforts made by the Management and Staff of Flying H. None of the divisions have an overabundance of tracks anymore, and I hope we are treating the one's we have with the respect and business understanding they deserve. J.R. |

The push for the doubles is not only being driven by racers but by the tracks themselves. The tracks see the higher profitability in doubles (attendance is typically higher) and they can have a more successful LODRS event.

I've driven by that location many times since it's the same location as the circle track which has been there quite a few years. I've never actually gone to that track.
I was talking to a friend who has much more experience with the place and he expressed concerns about a large (like national) event there. It's right next to the interstate, but there is only a 2 lane country road that goes to it. He was convinced that an event with a large amount of traffic would cause problems as the traffic would definitely back up onto the interstate, and neither MODOT or the state patrol would allow that. Don't get me wrong - I am pretty excited about it being built and the staff they've put in place. And considering how intensive the build was, there could be a chance that a road upgrade is in their plans. But as I said, never been there. Curious to hear from those who have, and whether the access might be a problem for a big event. |
