Bill, Adjusting it the way you said I can't get it to work good in both holes it's either one or the other,( going from low to park ) so I tried to split the difference and that didn't work to good either. The bracket that mounts on the trans did move some that was when I took off the bracket and wielded two together put it back on readjusted it again. Seems to work for a period of time then WA LA I'm back in the dummy mode.Thanks for your help Bob.................

Try high, neutral, and reverse while your under there again the lever shouldn't move when the cable is removed. I suspect that the cable attachemt point on the lever is to far frm center and does not move the lever far enough in both directions. Billy
