Nhra is now allowing 572 engines in 2022 copo camaro. Nhra rates this motor at 500hp. First the 572 was never installed in any chevy,it is a crate motor only. Also chevy rated it at 621hp not 500. We used to sell these thru the parts department.

GM won’t put it in unless it’s instantly competitive.

In all fairness, what manufacturers would enter an engine combo that doesn't have HP as low as they can get it?

I get that!

Do you think that Jim B's 396/375 HP Camaro makes 405 HP?

The majority of 2022 COPOs were built with a 572.

For the record, the order form for my 572 COPO says "NHRA rated at 430 HP". It would have been a good combination at that HP. At 500 HP, I am not a fan.

First of all , Jim's was available of the assembly line with a 375hp 396. Your car was not off the assembly line and the 572 never came off the assembly line. Are they going to allow the 632 engine also, which is 1004hp from crate.

HAHAHAHA Do you think there is a single item in that entire engine that resembles or is original to the 396/375 hp engine that came off the assembly line 😂😂.
