Our granddaughters bring way more frequent smiles than my race car, but when the car does something good the smiles look the same. Got everything to take oil and turned a test piece. Finish was good and size was predictable. I still need to clean the taper attachment and make a part or two for it. Other than that “Santa Clause has been berry berry good to me”

The microscope I think will be a great addition for reusability of parts. It was real cool looking at used Sparkplugs at the base of the ceramic.

Spent the last few days in Pensacola Beach Fla. watching high school basketball, the granddaughter’s of course. Different skill levels top to bottom but everyone wants to win and everybody dives for the ball and hussels. It’s fun to watch.

12/31/23 starts the 2024 racing season. A lot of work to do before the Gators.

The lathe is finished. Microscope is doing its job. New vee blocks and UK is playing well. All is going in the best direction.

You can look at it this way Larry. We are all tied for first in the World, and Division points race. LOL

Spent a lot of the day working on tooling to make a few valve train parts. As the old machinist often say “big holes big problems, little holes bigger problems. I’ve made some stuff that almost works, but it’s not like it needs to be. It’s not as bad as the fixture we made to drill a .031 hole in a .021 ring land without hitting the ring land.
We will get’er done.
