I think it sucks. It's about what's convenient for them, not you.

In 2021 it was qualifying AND class on Wed with first round Thurs morning. Last year was slightly better and this year seems the same as last. Is Monday still needed? Is Wednesday still needed? I would think one of those days could get chopped.

If they chopped Wednesday, they would probably give us 1 qualifying run and then C1, not giving anyone much time to get ready for class. Plus, if they cut a day, it would really cut into our program if weather was a factor. Next thing you know its a 3 day race and they give Wallys out for the fastest qualifier on the sheet. Leave it the way it is, or it will be more than just one day cut out.

I think with the high number of cars you need all of these days, Wed-Mon.

Plus if one or two days you get rain that would definitely hurt the schedule.

The worst year at Indy was when a few hundred rigs were not yet parked on Wednesday at noon. Cannot recall exactly the money saving excuse but probably was on account of a few factors like: 1) Parking was not to start until Tuesday 2) It rained the night before 3) They fired "Redman"

I just know that everything works better when a racer can arrive at the track and is parked in their pit area within a few hours. Once you have spent 22 hours in the staging lanes waiting for a two man crew to route you to your appropriate pit area, then you and your entire crew are not so pleased with the NHRA.
