This seems strange, Texas and Arizona are gun states, why do you have any crime. Gov. Abbott moved $221 million from Health and Human Services (Mental Heath) to the National Guard. If crime is so bad why didn't he declare martial law or hire more police, oh that's right Texas police can't even defend 9 year old children. In Abbott's own words: "thoughts and prayers". |

Compare the "gun states" crime rates to those of the democrat run cities with draconian gun control. You paint the state of Texas with an extremely broad brush because of one department's failure. Abbot ain't exactly going to be able to go in and stop an active shooter. Imagine the moaning, wailing, and gnashing of teeth if Abbot declared "martial law". And the states can't force local departments to do much. Also according to the Constitution, there's no legal requirement for law enforcement to face an active shooter. So you can't even fire the ones who fail. You can't even sue or prosecute them. Considering how law enforcement has been trashed in general, and how there's been a concerted effort to force "diversity hires", the quality is decreasing further. Money won't hire police now. Some of your posts are at least well reasoned, even if based on flawed logic and cherry picked data.. That wasn't one of them.
