Beyond 5.13 ring & pinion (ratio)...for 8.8" Ford rear...anything available between the 5.13 & next ratio we are aware of 5.71 ???...much thanx...for any/all help... Drake

Nope, I tested an 8.8 Drop out center section and we also tried to find ratios near my current 5.43. Nothing is available between those ratios in an 8.8.
I ended up testing the 5.13 and will test the 5.71 at some point.

Thanx Robin...ideally think something 5.43/5.57 would be a-ok...the 5.71 a bit too much without getting into tire height changes...thought awhile ago was told there was a 5.57 gear set for Explorer 8.8...so guess we'll stay @ 5.13 for present --Drake

You are correct the Strange drop used Chevy 12 gears but the pig went into a Ford 9” axle housing. As I remember it was done at Ford’s request to run in NASCAR resistor plate races! NASCAR said NO YOU CANT RUN THAT.

I remember Strange having one years ago, same time they came out with the 12 bolt one. Now there is this Chassisworks one.
