Yes. The RS tire did come off the ground causing the car to pivot right.

Todd Hoven takes the Ray Barton powered 426 HEMI up to the starting line in an attempt to set the AA/SA National record of quicker than 9.48 seconds. Watch as he makes two attempts in good record setting weather at the sea level Atco Dragway in NJ on a nice 70 degree, low humidity day.

Race seats look ridiculous in classic Stockers. I know I will be bashed for this comment for all the right reasons. So be it.

Yeah I get your point on this. I'm building a '64 Comet SS/MA, not exactly a nostalgia car but I do want the old school Super Stocker look. I could have put two alum race seats in it for less money but am spending significantly more to reupholster an orig bench seat.

Older seats aren’t as strong as the Kirkey or accepted seats. I know looks come into play but safety trumps that. We need the side support and head/ neck support in case of an event. It’s a good call and a great option- IMO. |

I can’t say they look ridiculous, but they do look out of place in some cars.I used kirkey low backs with a head rest on mine. That said, the taller seats are probably a little safer.

Most will say it is for safety, but the real reason is to get weight out of the car. Not bashing your comments. You are actually correct. |
