If I was Jegs, I would never sell a part again to anyone who lives in the republic of California. F that state. Between their off road engine laws, madates on electric cars, and even gun laws, it seems impossible to live there.

Bingo.

California? Sorry. Don't ship there. Especially government agencies.

Aftermarket part manufacturing companies, re-sellers and distributors are being targeted by deep-rooted individuals acting on their own initiative within certain agencies. That's why SEMA and other automotive groups are pushing for passage of the RPM Act.
Did JEGS get fined by the EPA?
CHICAGO (September 13, 2021) – Today, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced a settlement requiring Jeg's Automotive Inc. of Delaware, Ohio, to pay a $300,000 civil penalty for selling aftermarket motor vehicle parts that EPA alleges violated the Clean Air Act.Sep 13, 2021

Just another good reason for the NHRA BOD to come down from the Ivory Tower and move to Indy!

And it is these agencies, departments and offices, full of nameless, faceless, unelected, unaccountable, agenda driven bureaucrats, making up crises and the solutions for them, able to punish and fine people with no due process, and given their power by lazy elected officials, that are driving these family run companies overseas and/or into the arms of the equity firms.

The Jegs and Edelbrocks and Darts and Comps, etc., etc,. just get tired of dealing with it, cash out and go enjoy life.

Air pollution has been a problem for over 50 years in California, there's over 39 million people in the State, there's a mountainous terrain that traps pollution and warm climate that helps form ozone and other pollutant, they gotta do what they gotta do!
