What does the “R” in the part number mean? I have a SS780VS that I’m not using.

I have a 780 Vac. Secondary Da Vinic carb older carb, but ran good for sale. 750.00

The R appears to be the version NHRA has approved. There is a Street version and it does not have the R in the part number.
The one listed on Amazon appears to be the street version.
I don't know this to be true, but the R may have something to do with for racing with the secondary idle adjustments blocked per NHRA. That is just my SWAG.
