Problem around here is the Californians sell out of their inflated value property and then come over to the Prescott area and drive up the cost of real estate. The locals then can't afford to buy or rent around here.

Unless you are like me retired on a fixed income and have on intention of selling. I live just outside of Ft. Worth and my property taxes have gone up almost 50% over the last 4 years after being pretty steady for 20 years.

I'm shopping Prescott / Payson area right now but I'm trying to downsize some. Sorry if we inflate the housing market but the price "looks too good" to us right now especially the property tax rate. I was also looking at Nevada but GTX John is scaring me a little.
