Question Re: Grade Point Questions

Okay, thanks .
I don't see anything or informative here.
I suppose, if you forgot how many Divs you went to this year, (minus Opens) you could look it up there. Then ,of course, if you forgot how many you went to last year ( minus Opens) to see if that number is greater, you could refresh your memory there.
Carry on...

My question is, if you're in the mix for a Stock or Super Stock championship and the last two or three National event quotas are full, does the N.H.R.A. make exceptions for your entry request?

NHRA stated earlier in the year that they were studying grade points for next year given the 2020 turmoil. Hopefully they will decide to use last year’s or this year, whichever is highest when entering National events next year. Otherwise our Canadian friends and many others will have a hard time entering events. Know they can do the three year average to determine your grade point total but they don’t do that automatically. In any case perhaps they’ll release the method for determining grade points and of course the quotas this weekend at the “finals”.

Good point about our canadian friends, they got screwed bigtime, let's hope they can get a break here on grade points!

Frank, there have been quotas for a long time, but they were realistic and reflected the previous year's demand.
The ridiculously low quotas started maybe 4-5 years ago, when the Fox Sports TV package began. NHRA decided they didn't want too many of those pesky Stockers around on Sunday for the audience to see.
