Yeah it sucks and it doesn't. Not going to Indy sucks, Not having our Covid numbers spike is great.

What are our Canadian friends hearing about when the border could possibly reopen? I’m hearing rumblings it could possibly stretch several months into 2021. Have some great memories of going to Mission BC and hoping all of you can rejoin the fray next year. Additionally, I had planned trips this year (motorcycle to Alaska for the second time and RV on Vancouver Island for a month) that had to be scrapped but both require a lot of planning. PM if you prefer...thanks.

I just read that the major youth hockey association in the Toronto area is shut down through the rest of 2020 due to spiking case numbers is Ontario, so the border probably isn’t opening anytime soon.

I can't speak for Steve, but as much as I love going to your country (Brainerd, Fargo, Earlville, Cordova, Vegas, Phoenix etc.), I am very satisfied with healthcare north of the border. I have no problem with keeping the crossings shut until your elections and your own issues with Covid have been resolved. In the meantime, plenty of tracks up this way.

Sounds like the Canadian government has also shut the boarder down until next year sometime or maybe if the number of cases start to decrease in the US .

The Canadian side seems to be seeing a small spike in Covid cases as well. We'll all get through this!

I was lucky enough to get my car and all spare parts down before US Nats this year. Cost a small fortune but well worth it to see it run at Indy. Marty and his dad were unbelievable at helping me with all the logistics, working on the car and getting me a W in Indy for class. Reliable Car Carriers where amazing! Division 1 Director Dave Mohn also assisted and without him none of this would have been possible. He stepped up in a big way and showed that he really cares about sportsman racing...even if it was to help 1 car get into Indy. Sean and I have been testing both cars all year. The deuce and the rig are landlocked up here; however we are hopeful that the borders open up so we can get everything down to the states and get an early start next year. Hope to see all my friends to the south soon!

There are ways around it, Dan Mercier and Shawn Cowie have raced at US tracks this season. As far as i know all commercial transport is still allowed, so if they ask, you aren't going racing but rather transporting goods to the race track.

If DOT has hassled you about "commercial" use of your pickup and trailer now's the time to take advantage of that.
