I never knew Pete, but remember the wagon from pictures and records held.

R.I.P. Pete and condolences to his family and many friends.

Unhappy Re: Pete Tritak

Godspeed Pete, I so fondly recall studying you and Bill every opportunity I got at Raceway Park, Atco and the Grove as a young teenager, trying desperately to glean anything and everything possible, you inspired me always! You ran an awesome race, rest in peace...

Pete built my first engine back in 1974, a 440+6 for a 17 year old's (hot) street car 'Cuda. And he was very fair! (Still have receipt!) Rest in Peace Mr. Tritak.

This is sad news for D1, and all off drag racing.. Pete was a class act, and a big help while getting the War Wagon back up to steam.. he laughed at me the whole time.. GODSPEED, PETE!!!
