Yes. And although I have no real 1st hand info, it's my opinion that he didn't leave in what I would consider a traditional sense.

As I have said before I think NHRA is a bystander, in all of this.
When tracks open will be decided by governors, mayors and counties across the country. It would also appear that track and event sponsors may have a say in some of this also. In more hopeful news the track in Tulsa had what is normally their biggest race of the year, "Throw Down in T-Town" last weekend. They had good attendance but less than normal. Social distancing practices were in effect such as every other staging lane closed, an app for time slips and every other row in the grandstands blocked. This looks to be a good omen for the Lucas race scheduled here in June. |
