There have been a few big Pontiac Stockers, from the last half of the '60's.
Here's one I like, from div 3. Looks to be named "Walton's Mountain". Actually looks like he spelled it Mountian, on the car. Makes me wonder if he later discovered the mistake, & changed it. Or maybe just left it that way, on purpose. Driver's last name is Walton. Can't make out the 1st name. Anybody remember this car ? Last edited by oldskool; 02-26-2020 at 01:39 PM. |

It would be a fun car though. I had a 68 Ventura with a 3.08 posi. The thing hauled butt, as a street car. It ran in the 14's , through the stock exhaust, with over 100,000 miles on it.

He dialed a 13.25. I can't make out what class he ran. Wonder if that 13.25 was under his index, or if he was bracket racing ?

Happily remaining at the top of the Pontiac power making NHRA world. Although I have most of these cars archived, it's neat to see that some of you have enjoyed a 428 before. Either owning or watching.
