He asked me to hold the check for a week, before trying to cash it. A local race the next weekend would give him enough to make it good. Several local friends knew about it. It never would clear, so I tossed it. Did not badger the gentleman about it. Decided I had enough IHRA. Being accused of cheating was not flattering, either. Glad they went belly up.

My experience was good with IHRA as well. The southeast division was growing every year. I managed a win, runner up and some late round finishes at a few of their races. Always got paid and contingencies were paid much faster than with NHRA and all paid. Purse was also higher for winner than NHRA. I was sorry to see them fold.
