Grade point question

Do grade points need to be used for the class they are earned in?

Asking for a friend, That has a friend that has a Pro-mod he is thinking about getting licensed in the pro-mod so he gets 8 grade points instantly without ever going to a divisional race.

They have there own events you have to go to. It wouldn’t be a normal divisional I don’t think.

NHRA just gave every one that holds a Pro-mod license 8 grade points to assure they can get into any national they wish to run.

Guessing everyone is hoping those 8 free Grade Points can't be applied to Stk or S/Stk.

The Pro Mod guys as a group pay nhra one million dollars a year to race. The Pro Mod grade points are supposedly category specific.
