You might be right, Pete , but nobody told anyone that they had to build an A/SA "chaser" car. If they didn't get in by winning class, who's fault would it be ?

So if those 9 were in the combo class to get 1 winner you only have 36 class winners out of 128 spots. That leaves 92 spots for fastest qualifiers. So yeah i would have to agree, let all class winners in !!

The entry list doesn't tell the whole story several are listed inthe wrong class and more than a few will move up or down class to avoid racing the combo or avoid another competitor

The bye runs for a class trophy was a joke and should have been done away with and was.
How many people have a pile of class winner Wally's and never raced anyone....nothing but bye runs......and seeded into eliminations... If the class is that odd or unpopular it should not even be a class.....to many classes anyway...…

Exactly. I think the combo makes sense You have to earn the Class Wally not just show up What’s funny these are the same people that “Don’t Want The 120 under Trigger” Unless you run some bogus under factored combo. I wonder what #1 qualifier will be.......Definitely something NoT A Race Car

Maybe you better define "race car" for the sake of this discussion

Markie, I thing James used the wrong wording. I think it should be " cars with bogus HP factors". When I ran the gremlin I was originally factored at 160 hp. I got 5 hp off then 5 hp more, which I think was reasonable for a 6 cylinder with a carb that flowed 287 cfm. Then the FFFFords were given the gift of God and poof.Only my humble opinion.

Rear wheel drive. Not a 2 barrel. It’s a CAR. That sound badass. Not some soft POS that can go 2 seconds under. Basically the crap you call a race car.
