I know that this doesn't have anything to do with the D-6 Racers but it does have to do with diversity. Want to see more diversity in S/SS again? Let Class Winners all automatically back in at Indy!

Sure..but not just Indy. Anywhere with Class. 60 car fields too. Have to dial 3 tenths under in eliminator. Either that, or lower indexes 3 tenths....

Look out! INCOMING!!

I counted possibility of about 35 class winners at indy, that's excluding singles for class (leaving combo's). You would certainly get more diversity if class winners automatically got in elims. Fill rest of field with top qualifiers, then you might gets some heads up action!

I never agreed with the change they made not allowing class winners entry into the field.....

I count 65 classes in Stock.
I think what they don’t want is to have 1 car in class be able to get into the
eliminator if per say he only runs 3 under when other cars go 85 under and
don’t get in. Kinda of a double edge sword.

I agree with what you're saying about "what they don't want" BUT, if a RACER in one of "their" Classes beats another Racer in the same Class, shouldn't that Racer be rewarded with a spot in the field at "their" most prestigious Race where ALL Classes are supposed to be on display no matter how fast he goes?
Let's be honest here, there are certain Classes that have combos in them that can go much faster than the combos available in other Classes so why should a Racer who wins his Class be "bounced" out of the field by a 1ST RD loser from a different Class? No matter HOW fast he goes against the index.

I agree with you Billy if their are 2 cars in class, The Class Winner should get in.
However if only 1 car in class, than i think it’s up for debate if he should get in,
unless they made a rule saying that car has to run at least 8 under their index.

You might be right, Pete , but nobody told anyone that they had to build an A/SA "chaser" car. If they didn't get in by winning class, who's fault would it be ?

I counted 35 class winners and 9 classes with 1 car in its class.
So if those 9 were in the combo class to get 1 winner you only have
36 class winners out of 128 spots.
That leaves 92 spots for fastest qualifiers.
So yeah i would have to agree, let all class winners in !!
