Seems like a great way to slowdown a race program and cause confusion for the fans. The last thing nhra wants or needs.

We don't confuse the fans. When a FS/AA car Runs a AAF/S and the FS/AA car runs 8.39 on a 8.41 dial under, with an index of 9.40, but wins because the AAF/S went 13.47 on a 13.50 index and didn't dial under.
And then we are going to review the HP of the FS/AA car for going more than a second under, no, but wait, it was mine shaft, so no review. The average fan has a handle on what we do, right? J.R. |

You're posting about different points, not double red lights.

Bruce, I was responding to your point of fan confusion in the sportsman
ranks. That ship sailed long ago. J.R. |

What ship are you talking about? So the fans have witnessed this little scheme play out before? Where? You obviously think rule changes will help you win races. You want the fast FS cars to wait 3 or 4 seconds for you while you have a clean tree and a chance at redemption if your opponent has a worse light. Would you like anything else while you're here?

If a FS car is waiting "3 or 4 seconds for you", he HAS a "clean tree".

Unless I’m missing something, and I usually do...it seems to me the slow car has only 1 advantage, a clean tree, while the fast guys have HAD 2, somewhat insulated from the red light and the great advantage of having the race and stripe in front of them.
This kind of evens the playing field |

Come on guys, I'll buy any excuse and don't care one way or the other but you got to come up with something better than fan confusion lol!

You guys crack me up, so afraid of change....If most of you were in charge we would still be taking pics with a camera and waiting up to two weeks for Walgreens to develop them.....Remember when WE all sat in the lanes at INDY. Thank the good LORD for sessions....
