"Live From" Maple Grove - The Dodge Nationals

I just pulled in to the stacking area.... well the top end of the track. There are about 60 rigs in the normal stacking area on the grass, but it was to soft to to park anyone else. This is the second time I believe they parked rigs on the track. They told us noon parking, but they have already started bringing rigs in. The pits do not look bad, but you know how that goes, I am sure there are soft spots. There is no standing water, so lets hope we all get park without getting stuck.

I will be back later with an update, the entry list for SS, Stk, SC, and SG is now down to 183 from the 235 plus that were entered.

We are down to 168 for SS, Stk, SC and SG. Pretty much everyone is parked that will be racing this week. It just stop raining, we had a rain shower for about 20 minutes.

The first two photos are what I thought might be a rig getting stuck. He rolled in the spot with no issues, the ground is soft but it seems to support the heavy rigs in that area. I found a few car out before the showers hit.

NHRA has emailed us that tomorrows schedule has been revised. Start time is now 11am.

Good morning all, its a little misty out with some fog. Track drying is under way and we are supposed to start at 11 with Stock. As you can see from the photo, with have the fog on the hills, a trade make of Maple Grove when the weather gets like this. The weather for today is no rain and the sun may come out in the late afternoon, well see.
