Rated @ 600 H.P. makes it a 7.50 factor car.

Just for reference....a 2015 Drag Pack is listed as 3,200 Lbs. shipping wt. or 3,450 depending on the engine
So what class is the hellcat falling in at 7.50 factor

The classification guide currently lists the Hellcat as a 7.5 pound AA/S or AA/SA car, at 600 factored horsepower. At 4670 pounds, the index would be 10.70.

The Demon, if the current 85% policy is applied, would be factored at 687 horsepower. At 7.5 pounds per factored horsepower, it would need to weigh 5323 pounds. Based upon my experience as a drag racer, I'm guessing that having to add a thousand pounds of weight to the Demon will make reaching the AA/SA index a bigger challenge, lol.

these cars are 2008 and newer they wouldn't qualify for AA/SA i thought the regular stock classes were for 2007 and older ?

Nope! There are still Stocker combinations being added by the manufacturers as well as the FS cars.

The 2009-2013 Dodge Challengers ( production version-- Non-Drag Pack) are in the classification guide and running the traditional Stocker classes.

As well as the 2010 and 2015 Camaro SS models

The FS classes are only for COPO, Drag Pak, and Cobra Jet combinations. 2008 and newer cars with regular engines that come in the street cars are still in the regular stock classes that the 2007 and older cars are in so long as the engine combination is listed in the guide.
