"Hooker headers are fun to install"
OW!! DEJA VU! 1971. Had the big tube Doug Thorley crossovers like those for my '69 Fairlane Cobra. The heads had both bolt patterns and so did the headers. Eh, I was 20/21, used them all! Four bolts on each exhaust port. Dang sure never leaked! Took several different combos of tools to get it done. Very nice car Victor in Kingman |

Ah, yes, the 2 bolt flanges. Seems I found a source for gaskets for those. Somebody's 6 cyl exhaust manifold to down pipe I think. Can't remember whose though.
Cool you still have the car. Regret selling mine. Been trying to buy it back for over 40 years. He won't sell it. |

Just googled it, back cyl on each bank.
So, cyl 5 and then 4 fire back to back in the left collector. Then cyl 8 and 1 fire back to back in the right collector. What did that improve? |

Not being an expert, I can only guess it was a fitment issue. The 2 1/8 inch rear pipes would really be short compared to the other six without crossing over. Pretty tight back there on these cars. Mine came with the car when I bought it.
