Using blinders

I don't want to get into this too deep because I never did block the full tree.I never felt the need to.
But what you may want to do is go out to a test session and ask for a short (5 tenths) Pro tree.
Bring it up to your normal rpm ,and see if you can cut a low .500 light that way. If you can't, then blocking may not be for you.
