I wasn’t “trying” to get HP on the combination. I had it weighted down, timing out and other measures trying to run about 1.05-1.10 under, yes I did intend to be number one qualifier because it’s good for business. This was the 9th run ever on the car and it’s been giving us fits. It left extremely lazy and I figured no way it was going fast enough to worry. Unfortunately or fortunately, it seems maybe we fixed the problem we were having in the car and it went faster than I thought. The combination has TONS of untapped potential left so from my standpoint I’m not upset about it because I know we have more left in it, I didn’t intend to ruin it for others or anything like that, but sometimes it happens. Considering it’s been hit with 33hp before I ever touched it I’m definitely not the first one to hit it...lol

Mark for 30 plus years NHRA official's would tear down the winner and runner up at each race. So theirs tons of time after the race to teardown cars if time/man power during the race is a issue. Mark I do agree there are quite a few tech guys at the div level that bust there butts all weekend long.

Im not denying this but it totally makes no sense. Unless maybe the final was a heads up? Or if 1 or both cars went really fast? Why would you tear somebody down for being a good driver? Or knowing how to dial their car?

Charlie
Making nasty comments about our division one officials isn't the issue here
I agree with with some of your thoughts but dont attack a great bunch of guys who work for little money and work very hard
I say we support them and thanks them for what they do

I guess if the 'tune up' was this lame then maybe this combo can stand an additional 25 HP on top of the HP added by the 1.20 under.
