I thought a few years s ago nhra made several 69 Camaro owners put flat hoods on there car? I'm going to ask Glen Gray about tear downs when I see him this weekend.

We're talking about the 350 /300. Never a question on the hoods for them. The Indy Pace Car was a 350 / 300 base, with cowl hood.

The 350/300 never came with a "flat" hood. This combination was only available in the SS and the SS came with either the simulated "Stacks" on the hood or the cowl hood.

My point is if it made no difference prior to the hp increase ,why should hood choice make a difference now. Rick.
