Beautiful cars every one, yet we wonder why people go to the concession stand during Stock Eliminator. Remember when people crowded the fence during Stock? Remember when it was easy to identify every car by name or a driver's name or both? Only 4 out of 19 cars could be identified by the average avid fan in the above group. $10,000 paint jobs that look nice but I believe we are cutting our own throats.
Just my rant for the day. Pete |

Pete, an astute observation. Dennis Alvey's lettering works well, large size and easy to read. Some of the others really need to have a picture taken from the NHRA spectator seating to see what it looks like when they race. Not picking on him, "Ritchie Pauly" (?) is gonna be hard to read. I wouldn't even hazard to guess what class the "Maddox" Challenger is in. Some have colors which don't contrast with the window/interior color at all so can be barely seen. Even a contrasting border doesn't help some with the tiny lettering. What are the required sizes? Without a name on the car door or quarter panel at least letting the spectators know who you are can't hurt. |

I remember when half the car was covered with contingency decals. Most of these cars don't have any besides the mandatory lucas, nhra stickers. I like the clean look but it is a sad commentary on sponser support.
