Q.C.? Seems it's getting to be a thing of the past. Just opened a set of rockers to find one of the pushrod cups has NO hole in it. Solid. And everybody thinks I'm nuts for double-checking everything.

I know one of the big chains that bought another chain(the purchased chain had better parts) and I asked a regional manager how the merge was going. He stated it was going well, they were able to put their parts in the purchased chains boxes-more profit. I imagine customers will eventually figure it out.

Quality control, along with customer service is going away rapidly. It is hard to find a parts guy or gal that actually knows what you want. If it's not in the computer, they can't help you. I am, of course, referring to the local parts houses.
I totally agree that if you do buy parts, check them for fit. They may, or may not be the right ones.

Dorman window regulator with motor #741-674 '95 F-150 driver side, wires reversed in the pigtail. Up is down & down is up. Had to reverse wires at the switch. Gotta' love them chikneese parts. John Kissel

I found an Autolite plug like that in 1968. Think it's still floating around in one of the tool boxes.

Every purchaser is to blame, example, two parts that will work but one is 1/3 less. We all buy the cheap one, thinking we're being ripped off by the high priced one, eventually the better made product goes under. Now we have the junk. Thank Home Depot, Lowes, Harbor Frieght and the original, Wall mart. Saw pricing on a front bearing wheel hub assembly, had basic (auction), daily driver, heavy duty, each was 30% more than the last. $69 to $369. Hate to see the quality on the cheap one.
