Joe,
You should find an attorney from the town in which the court is located. Local attorneys are more familiar with the judge, Court, and the general local practices. Since you're from out of state bringing a non-local attorney might not be wise. You may get what we call "hometowned ." I would call two or three attorneys in the local area. You could probably find them through the Internet. Question them about their experience and familiarity with the court. You could also call the judges secretary and ask for the contact information of the president of the local Bar Association. That person would be able to give you a decent referral. Tim

Jeff,
Your attorney in Louisiana may have access to some publications where attorneys are rated by their peers that could be useful. Never a good thing to be "out lawyered". Bill |

I know a guy in Nashville. Goes by the name Sam or Sonny. Has a huge scar on his face. He'll travel to Florida. One time fee $10k. He'll solve your problem.

On such issues, you need a real estate lawyer. Issues related to real estate are quite complex, so the help of a professional lawyer is essential. I think if you find a real specialist, you can solve any problem. Unfortunately, I had a situation in my life that involved sexual abuse. I needed quality legal help, because the case was complicated. I turned to the lawyers from ucmjdefense.com, who specialize in issues of this nature. Then I realized once again how important it is to choose a highly specialized lawyer who is well versed in the issues you need.

I had a situation out of my home state several years ago. After the guy ripped me off. I found out he was a crook. I ended up looking up his court cases online through his county courthouse. It cost me about $10 to do so if I remember right. From that I got the name of a lawyer who had kicked his A in court before. That’s how I found one to help me. If the county you’re getting sued in has online records available. I’d search his name. And see if he does this a lot. And if so what lawyer has been successful going up against his lawyer. If it’s a tractor trailer towing company. It wouldn’t shock me if your not the first he’s sued. It happens a lot.
