Who ever can get that much HP off a combo must be related to Jim Hale......

Not naming anyone with this issue. The 1970 Camaro 350 was reduced 40 HP. People who run there cars should be flying Danny Byrd has the premiere 1966 Nova 327 350 HP and he can only go low 10:30’s. You’d think taking that much weight from a combo would make all the difference in the world.

Funny how some defend big power reductions for one make and stand on the barricades shouting about other makes reductions yet they seem to run in the same ballpark against the index
The Chevy II must have the record for dropping classes A to E??

How far off we have come in the 35 years I raced the class, well, the last 15 anyway.
All engines should be the same,Stick, auto, model etc.
Models that need help should really be far and between.
Loosing interest in this by the day now.

Now GM people is even pissed about other GM combos, you see,we never gonna get anywhere on the internet.

Peace out

We're pissed about the process, the people in charge of the process and the "buddy deals" that are handed out by the people in charge of the process.

Which proves exactly what Dwight explained...if Danny can "only" go 10.30's, it's not a great combo.

Paul, Danny Byrd has the state of the art Nova. No other Nova runs as quick as Byrd’s car. Now rate the 327 back to 350HP and the combo slows down 3 or 4 thnths. The 1967 302 was rated 290 HP from the factory. It is now 309 HP. Which is 19 HP. Over the factory rating. If you run the 327 350 combo that’s good for you. We all know a man from Malvern, Pa who raced a Nova and beat Hemi cars with the 327 350 HP Nova.
