Don't think seeding the FS/XX cars at the top of the stock ladder is right. They need to be put at the bottom of the ladder. I was told NHRA is considering having 16 car fields for them and thier own championship points chase by someone who has good inside info. Indy will be a 16 car field. That has been decided already.

Agreed. Make it a 16 car field and drop those who do not make it to the bottom, not put them up top.

Next batch, this is it for tonight, I have been at it for 2 hours. If we have rain tomorrow I will head over to AT&T and switch services.

8:30 am update - it's very wet and while the rain has stopped, it looks like it could start any minute. Track drying has not started.

Radar shows a lot more rain headed your way. When they start track drying you will know the radar is looking better.

It's a great morning to get breakfast so I'm here with CR Boss Ken and Evan Smith just down the street from the track. This place is "Diners and Dives" worthy.

The Donut Ladies have been out the last 2 mornings.

The first eight slots in Stock qualifying were taken up by the excess FS/XX cars running against an 9.90 index. I thought, what would happen if they took four-tenths off and used a 9.50 index?

They would have had 7 of the top 8 positions instead. Maybe a 9.40 or 9.30 index next time?
