How about if the manifold had to look stock on the out side. Any things goes inside. One less thing for tech to check.

I think they ought to pick a manifold that is still in production, something under $300. I'd think the Edelbrock Performer might work good for the 273-4 and the 1970s 318-4 combos. I think the ports are too small for a 340 or 360.
Chrysler has replacement Street Hemi intakes available, and A&A makes the crossrams for the Hemi and MW engines. I'm not sure if the A&A repros are already legal? Do they have the OEM casting numbers in them? I think the price of LD340s doubled since they became legal. I'd be in favor of aftermarket intakes that are in production for all brands. We all have to pay crazy prices for OEM iron intakes. I was able to find an LD4B for a 273 Mopar and haven't found the OEM iron one close to me. Shipping an iron intake adds enough cost to where the aluminum one was cheaper for me.
