Tim Carper's BF/S in on the opposite side of the ladder. That's a potential 6-second handicap. I assume that the record handicap is at least 8 seconds.

Has a SS/AH (or old SS/AA) ever run 8.11?

We had two very good cars at the bottom of the sheet, Periard and Totaro. I don't know what if anything is wrong with Francois Hemi car, but I do know Wayne Firehawk got pushed all the way back to his pits. Second hand info. is that Wayne had a wire burn and the car quit. We went up to Wayne pits to get the "scoop" and beat the other reporters to the story. Ya'll know Christmas is coming and we were looking to pad our yearend bonus. Back to the story. When we arrive Wayne has a phone in one hand bent over the rollbar with laptop hooked up. We retreated to the Oaks pit spot a few rigs down from Wayne so not to be a distraction. After about 45 minutes we left. We don't know if he got his car started but the backfires were not as loud and there were less frequent. Hope he got it fixed.

All the time Wayne is working on his car I'm thinking; next year that could be me. I can hardly wait....................... If it does happen like that: just shoot me!

I hope someone does go in the "7"s this weekend. If Chris does not make that run this race, it will be wait until next year when the new engines come out.

Good morning - This AM was the first that I was greeted by the sound of the NHRA vacumns instead of the pitter-patter of rain on my roof .The latest has the .90 classes and SuperStock going out first this morning followed by rd 1 of Stock .

This sure has been a long week - almost like Indy but without the track action .I feel like I have to get back to work to just feel productive .Sitting around doing zip is killing me .

Back with the dirt after it gets light out ..........

Thumbs down Re: "Live" from the Keystones 2016

The lack of communication here at the track is amazing , at least half of Friday's texts a lot of racers didn't receive.
A PA system you can't hear anywhere in the Sportsman pits and a radio station that dosnt work .
Heard several stories about the radio , best one was that the employee who was called in to fix it was denied entry because he didn't have credentials !!

Text just received now , racing on delay .

Watching all access said 9:15 starting with Super Stk, then SC & SG. Hopefully they can get a few rounds of sportsman racing in today. I know they gave the option to a few people if you didn't make a time run you can transfer to another event. I heard a few S/C teams can't stay till Monday so they are loading up and heading home.

Even with the added HP on Tuesday, I am not ruling out a 7 second run by Chris at the Dutch later this week. I'll see you and Patsy bright and early on Thursday.

Chris won't have to worry about hp at the dutch. They are most likely running at the fs/xx weight which is 3550, regardless of combo. He ran in fs/aa yesterday, which will affect the 2016 hp, but not the fs/xx

No. I believe the quickest run by a SS/AH was made by Charlie Westcott Jr. at 8.22@162+ at South Georgia Motorsports Park several years ago. It was the record at that time until it was retired. The current record is held by Gary Wolkwitz at 8.21.

Not sure what the record for a handicap is. I know when I drove Billy Nees HF/SA Sunbird, that car was a magnet for 10 second A-B-C cars. I was always dialed a mid/high 17.xx, so I got used to seven second head-starts. I think the biggest I ever got (that I can remember) was 17.97 to a 10.40-something against Joey Wilkes at Keystone/Pittsburgh Raceway Park. Not counting an all-run Gamblers race at my home track on a Wednesday night. I was dialed 18.24 against a Super Pro dragster dialed 8.35. Eighty-nine (89) mph difference.
